How Marquee Insurance Group collects, uses, and protects your information. Last updated October 21, 2026.

The short version: We collect the information needed to quote, place, and service your trucking insurance, and we share it with the insurance companies and service providers involved in that work. We use cookies and similar tools for analytics and advertising. We may issue certificates and confirm your coverage to brokers and others who request it unless you tell us in writing not to. We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share your mobile number with third parties for their marketing. Questions or requests: customerservice@marqueeig.com or (833) 746-4644, Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM ET.

01Who We Are & What This Covers

Marquee Insurance Group, LLC (“MIG,” “we,” “us”) is an independent insurance agency specializing in commercial trucking insurance. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit marqueeig.com (the “Site”), request a quote, become a client, or otherwise communicate with us.

The insurance companies, Managing General Agencies, and premium finance companies we work with have their own privacy policies, which govern how they handle your information. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

02Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote, apply for coverage, become a client, or contact us, we may collect:

  • Contact information, such as name, business name, phone number, email address, and mailing and garaging addresses
  • Business information, such as USDOT and MC numbers, years in business, operating radius, commodities hauled, revenue, mileage, and payroll
  • Vehicle and equipment information, such as year, make, model, VIN, and value
  • Driver information, such as name, date of birth, driver’s license number and state, years of experience, and driving history
  • Insurance information, such as prior coverage, loss runs, and claims history
  • Billing and payment information, which is processed by our payment and premium finance providers
  • Your communications with us, including emails, text messages, chat conversations, and recorded phone calls

If you give us information about another person, such as a driver, owner, or employee, you confirm that you are authorized to provide it to us for these purposes.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we and our service providers collect device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, links clicked, referring site, and the date and time of your visit, using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (see Cookies, Analytics & Advertising).

Information from other sources. We may receive information about you or your business from insurance companies, Managing General Agencies, and wholesalers; premium finance companies; motor vehicle record and other consumer reporting providers; FMCSA and other public databases; business data providers; and partners or people who refer you to us.

03How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your requests and provide quotes
  • Submit applications and information to insurance companies so they can underwrite, price, and issue coverage
  • Service your account, including policy changes, certificates of insurance, renewals, billing, and payments
  • Help you with questions about the claims process
  • Communicate with you by phone, email, text message, and chat
  • Send newsletters, renewal reminders, and information about products and services that may interest you
  • Operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Site and our services, and measure our advertising
  • Prevent fraud, protect our rights, and comply with legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping requirements

04How We Share Information

We share personal information as needed to provide our services, including with:

  • Insurance companies, Managing General Agencies, and wholesale brokers to obtain quotes, place and service coverage, and support claims
  • Premium finance companies when you finance your premium
  • Service providers that work on our behalf, such as phone and text messaging, email, customer relationship management, client portal, payment processing, website hosting, chat, analytics, and advertising providers
  • Consumer reporting agencies to obtain motor vehicle records and other reports as permitted by law
  • Brokers, shippers, and others who request proof of your coverage, as described in Certificates & Coverage Verification
  • Affiliated companies and partners, including companies affiliated with MIG through common ownership and partners that offer products or services to trucking businesses (such as factoring, fuel, compliance, safety, and roadside services), so they can provide or offer those services to you. You can ask us to stop sharing your information with partners for their marketing by contacting us.
  • Government agencies, regulators, and others when required by law or legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of others
  • A buyer or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business
  • Others with your consent or at your direction

We may also share information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it does not reasonably identify you.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some state laws treat the use of advertising cookies and pixels as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; see Cookies, Analytics & Advertising and Your Choices & Rights.

05Certificates & Coverage Verification

Proof of insurance is a routine part of trucking. Unless you tell us in writing not to, MIG may, without contacting you first, issue certificates of insurance for your business to, and confirm coverage information with, freight brokers, shippers, motor carriers, lessors, factoring companies, lienholders, load boards, and others who request it for a business purpose.

Coverage information we may provide includes the insurance company, policy numbers and dates, coverage types and limits, whether coverage is in force, scheduled vehicles and drivers, and commodities listed on your policy. This information is provided as a convenience, is based on the information available to us at the time, and is subject to the terms of your policy. It is not a determination of whether a particular loss or load is covered; only the insurance company makes that determination.

To limit or stop this, email coi@marqueeig.com. Your instructions take effect once we confirm we have received them.

06Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

The Site uses cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies, provided by us and by third parties, to make the Site work, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the Site, and show and measure our advertising. These include:

  • Google Analytics and Google Ads, to measure Site traffic and advertising performance
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag, to measure our ads and show our ads to people who have visited the Site
  • Session recording tools, which record how visitors interact with Site pages, such as clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, to help us improve the Site. We configure these tools to avoid capturing information typed into form fields where the tool allows.

We may also share hashed (encoded) email addresses or phone numbers with advertising platforms to measure our ads or show them to people who already know us.

Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the Site may not work properly without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, adjust ad preferences in your Google, Meta, and LinkedIn account settings, and learn more about interest-based ads at aboutads.info. Opting out does not stop all ads; it makes them less tailored.

07Website Chat

The chat feature on the Site is an automated tool that answers general questions and can collect your contact information so a MIG team member can follow up. Chat conversations are stored and may be reviewed by our team and our chat service provider to respond to you and improve our service. Chat responses are general information only and are not quotes, coverage advice, or confirmation of coverage. Please do not enter Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, driver’s license numbers, or other sensitive information in the chat.

08Calls, Text Messages & Email

Phone calls. Calls with MIG may be monitored and recorded for quality, training, and record-keeping purposes. Our phone system may also automatically transcribe and summarize calls so our team has accurate notes of your requests.

Communication tools. Our team may use software tools to help draft, organize, and summarize emails and other communications. A MIG team member reviews communications before they are sent.

Text messages. If you provide your mobile number, you consent to receive text messages from MIG about your quote, policy, account, and insurance needs. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing insurance.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver our messages.

Email. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us. Policy, billing, and service emails will continue while you are a client.

09Driver Records & Consumer Reports

Motor vehicle records and other consumer reports are obtained and used only for permitted insurance purposes, as allowed by the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act, and applicable state law. Insurance companies may also obtain these reports directly when underwriting your coverage.

10Insurance Privacy Laws

Information we collect to provide insurance services may also be protected by federal and state insurance privacy laws that govern how insurance agencies and insurance companies use and share it. Where those laws apply and provide different rules, they control.

11Information We Don’t Need & Secure Payments

Please do not send us information we have not asked for. MIG does not need, and will not ask you to send, Social Security numbers, photos or copies of credit or debit cards, bank login credentials, or other sensitive personal information that is not required for your quote or policy. Send only the information your MIG team member or your application requests.

Card payments. For credit and debit card payments, MIG or our payment providers will send you a secure payment link processed through PCI-compliant payment systems. Please do not send card numbers or photos of cards by email, text, or chat.

If you send information we did not request, we will make reasonable efforts to protect or delete it, but, to the extent permitted by law, MIG is not responsible for information you choose to send by an unsecured method or that we did not request.

12How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, and we require our service providers to protect the information they handle for us.

Where your information is stored. Your information is stored in secure, cloud-based systems operated by our service providers, such as customer relationship management, agency management, client portal, phone, email, and payment systems. These providers maintain their own security programs, terms, and privacy policies. To the extent permitted by law, MIG is not responsible for the acts or omissions of these providers or for unauthorized access to their systems that is outside MIG’s reasonable control.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please help protect your information by keeping your portal credentials private and by not sending sensitive information by text, chat, or unencrypted email.

13How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and for the periods required or permitted by law, including insurance recordkeeping requirements, and as needed to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

14Your Choices & Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. Some rights may not apply to information we must keep for insurance, legal, or regulatory reasons, or to information covered by insurance privacy laws.

To make a request, email customerservice@marqueeig.com or call (833) 746-4644, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM ET. We will need to verify your identity before responding. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. If we deny your request, you may contact us to appeal.

California residents may have additional rights under California law. More information is available from the California Attorney General.

15Children’s Privacy

The Site and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

17Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date and applies from that date.
